Building a community that lasts beyond the season

At Hawks FC, community is what keeps girls in the game. We believe players stay engaged, confident, and motivated when they feel connected—to their teammates, their families, and the environment around them. Our goal is to build a community that supports our players not just during a season, but long after it ends.

What “community” means to us

Community means creating a space where girls feel seen, supported, and valued as whole people—not just athletes. It’s about fostering belonging, connection, and purpose so players continue to grow through soccer and beyond.

For us, community is both internal and external: the relationships built within our teams and the connections formed with the families, organizations, and neighborhoods that surround them.

We’re intentional about creating a community culture where:

• Every player is known by name and supported as an individual
  We prioritize relationships and take the time to understand each player’s needs, strengths, and goals.
• Teammates become a real support system, not competition
  We create team environments rooted in encouragement, trust, and shared success.

  We view families as an essential part of our community and intentionally create spaces for connection and involvement.
• Girls build relationships and confidence that carry into school, work, and life
  The skills learned through teamwork, communication, and leadership extend far beyond the field.
• Players and families give back through community service and outreach
  We encourage shared responsibility and leadership by creating opportunities to support the communities we’re part of.
• Events and programs welcome families and community members
  Our clinics, open plays, and gatherings are designed to bring players and individuals together and create access points for connection.
• We connect with local organizations and businesses to support players’ futures
  Partnerships help expand resources, mentorship, and opportunities beyond soccer.
